Table ronde à Kinshasa, pour l'élimination du choléra

The Veolia Foundation, Secretariat of the GAAC, sponsored the organization of a round table on December 5 and 6 (2014) in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), on the elimination of cholera.

In particular, the Foundation was involved in drawing up the agenda for these two days addressing the main strategic directions to be adopted to contain this major public health problem.
 
During the meeting, the delegations from Niger, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Kenya discussed how to define what contribution African institutions could make to monitoring, research and combatting cholera in Africa. The speakers also examined the means for international cooperation to speed up the identification of cholera “hotspots,’ the necessary preliminary step prior to deploying cholera elimination plans in African countries.
